The Road Home

The Road Home was the name of Bill Sprouse's band before and after his conversion to Christianity.
Group members of the last configuration included: Bill Sprouse Jr. on vocals, keyboard, and fiddle, Ed McTaggart on drums, Mark Ala on pedal steel, John Falcone on bass, Diane Hershey on vocals. Mike Shoup was the sound man.
The Road Home (Chinese:我的父亲母亲 "My Father and Mother") is also a 1999 movie directed by the Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou. This movie introduced the actress Zhang Ziyi. It's the charming story of a country girl (Zhang) and a young teacher falling in love during the Cultural Revolution and the teacher's death many years later that brings their big city living son to return for the funeral. The film was nominated for and won several prestigious international film awards at the Sundance Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival and Golden Rooster Awards in Beijing.
