- the Hugo award-nominated novelette by Charles L. Harness in 1967.
- the significant work by the 17th century Flemish painter David Teniers the Younger depicting an alchemical laboratory. Versions of this work are on display in The Hague and in the Fisher Collection of Pittsburgh.
- The Alchemists is a science fiction novel by Geary Gravel.
- the hip-hop music producer who appeared on the Cypress Hill album Til Death Do Us Part in 2004.
