Tennent's is a beer brand brewed at the Wellpark brewery, established in 1556 in Glasgow. It is named after Hugh Tennent, who started to brew lager there in 1885, the first person to do so in Scotland. In 1893 the lager won the highest award at the Chicago World's Fair.
Tennent's is currently owned by Tennent Caledonian Breweries which is a subsidiary of Bass Brewers, itself owned by Belgian brewing company InBev.
Tennents sponsors Scotland's largest outdoor music festival 'T' in the Park. Tennents are also sponsors of football's Scottish Cup.
