Teddy Duchamp
|
Teddy Duchamp is a character in the 1986 American movie Stand By Me, based on the Stephen King novella The Body. He dreams of a career in the United States military, like his father who helped take the shores of Normandy on D-Day in World War II.
Teddy has naturally bad eyesight, but his left ear was burned by his paranoid father after he accidentally dropped a plate. His father was arrested, and Teddy's dreams of joining the army were ruined. After trying numerous times to be in the military and being turned down every time, Teddy ended up in jail. Thats the last that anyone has heard of him since. (Stand By Me)
