Tandoori Chicken is a chicken dish originally from the Punjab, India but is now popular throughout the country and in Indian restaurants abroad. It is reddish in colour, as it is marinated for some time in tomato sauce, yogurt, and spices such as ground annatto seed, saffron, tandoori masala and turmeric, before being cooked at high temperatures in an earthen oven (i.e. tandoor).
