- Based on the vibes I get from family members of each I am in contact with,it seems that Charlotte Benkner is in better condition,but it's very hard to predict future life expectancy at such extreme ages.Joan Riudavets was welcoming interviewers to his home in late January and died in early March,Sarah Knauss was exchanging New Year's greetings with her hairdresser and popped off sitting in her chair on the afternoon of December 30th 1999.We can only wish them well and see how they do.--Louis Epstein/le@put.com/12.144.5.2
And now that Charlotte Benkner has died,we have our answer.Her final illness was brief.I hope Ramona Trinidad Iglesias-Jordan is with us for a while yet!--L.E.
The while proved barely two weeks (Charlotte Benkner died late in the evening of May 14th and RTIJ early in the morning of May 29th).These have NOT been good times for world's-oldests,we now have no 114-year-old for the first time since the 1980s.
