- If I do that, I get a lot of german language sites and bogus self-linking sites, though. If german tourist information, _and_ openmoz use MWP, I think that should be good enough for us? .... Morwen 07:44, 14 Nov 2003 (UTC)
- You should take a better look at the sites - meta description is in German in one case, I see, but the page is in English, as I've chosen "English pages only" (here (http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en)). I think Wikipedia policy is to use the name used by speakers of English. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern seems to win by a landslide (over 75 %). The English name have no official status, and when it is not the commonly used name in English anymore, it should not be used as the first form in Wikipedia. Nico 09:04, 14 Nov 2003 (UTC)
