Talk:Eaton Corporation
|
Possible copyright violation. The first paragraph of this entry looks like it's taken more or less exactly from a press release (e.g. this page (http://www.eaton.com/hybrid_vehicle/) states:
- Eaton Corporation is a global diversified industrial manufacturer with 2002 sales of $7.2 billion that is a leader in fluid power systems; electrical power quality, distribution and control; automotive engine air management and fuel economy; and intelligent systems for fuel economy and safety in trucks. Eaton has 51,000 employees and sells products in more than 50 countries.
The paragraph is taken from the Form 8-K report on the SEC website http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/31277/000003127703000012/etn2q2003earningsrelease.txt
and is considered public information and may be distributed or copied.
Removing copyright violation notice and referencing the SEC page.
- I am not a copyright lawyer, but in general the rule is anything that is published is copyrighted unless stated otherwise. I see no mention on that SEC filing that it is not copyrighted. Chadloder 16:13, Aug 6, 2003 (UTC)
At http://www.sec.gov/security.htm item 3 states "Information presented on www.sec.gov is considered public information and may be distributed or copied." The filing is presented on www.sec.gov so I interpret that as meaning anything in the filing is now public domain.
- Works for me. Thanks. Chadloder 16:29, Aug 6, 2003 (UTC)
