Takoyakiki
|
A Takoyakiki (also known as Takoyaki-nabe) (Japanese: たこ焼き器, タコ焼き器;, or 蛸焼き器; literally, octopus baking pan), also known in English as a takoyaki pan is a heavy frying pan made of cast iron with half-spherical molds used to make takoyaki, a traditional octopus dish. They are made heavy to evenly heat takoyaki. Commercial-sized takoyaki pans are used at Japanese festivals or by street vendors to make takoyaki, and smaller pans are also available for home use on a stove.
