Tadd Roosevelt
|
Tadd Roosevelt was a nephew of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, son of his much older half-brother, James Roosevelt.
Tadd Roosevelt was about the same age as Franklin Roosevelt and they attended Harvard at the same time. However Tadd dropped out, moved to New York, married a Hungarian born prostitute with whom he stayed until her death forty years later. He was disowned by his father and all relations with the family were ended. He never touched the inheritance left from his grandmother's side of the family (the Astors, unrelated to Franklin) and left it all to the Salvation Army upon his death.
