TTFN
|
TTFN is an initialism which came to prominence in the UK during the Second World War as a parting salution, standing for Ta Ta For Now. 'Ta Ta' is akin to 'bye bye'.
It is, in essence, very close in style to the French "au revoir" or German "auf wiedersehen".
The phrase "TTFN, Ta Ta For Now!" is used frequently by the character Tigger in the Winnie the Pooh stories.
