The TÜV (short for Technischer Überwachungsverein, technical monitoring association in english) is a German organization that tries to protect humans and environment against dangers of technical plants and mechanisms of all kinds. It examines as independent consultants monitoring-needy plants, motor vehicles, energy installations and devices. The many subsidiaries of the TÜVs can appear also as project developers for energy and traffic concepts, problem solutions in the area of environmental protection and certification bodies.
