Surplus
|
Surplus can refer to:
- budget surplus, the opposite of a budget deficit
- economic surplus
Unofficially, the term surplus can also be used as a verb. This is the action of making something a "surplus" item, such as equipment or resources that are no longer needed. As such, one can "surplus" an item or, expressing past tense, an item can be "surplused". Likewise, an inventory manager may be found "surplusing" an item, if that item needs to be tagged and either made available to other people or otherwise marked for disposal.
