Supernatural Horror in Literature
|
Supernatural Horror in Literature is a collection of essays written in 1927 and added to between 1933 and 1935 by the famed fantasy and horror author H. P. Lovecraft (1890-1937).
Though his fiction writing is sometimes burdened by fussiness of description or the stodgy style of the fictional antiquarian narrators of some of his tales, Lovecraft was a prolific and lucid writer on a number of subjects. This work offers a clear and excellent description of fantastic literature and its authors up to the time of the essays' writing.
