Sudanese Arabic
|
Sudan is the melting pot for African and Arabian cultures. Sudanese Arabic is derived from the language of the Qur'an, but the mixing of Egyptian Arabic and Arabic from the Arabian peninsula with the local languages led to the creation of a variety of Arabic not necessarily specific to Sudan.
Some examples:
ebil -> albil (camel)
ma', meiah -> moya, meh, alma (water)
