This article is about the television show called State of Grace. There is also a movie called State of Grace.
State of Grace is a sitcom that ran for two seasons on the Fox Network's Fox Family channel.
It presented two completely different families who became friends through their 12 year old daughters Hannah and Grace, who were best friends. One, an Jewish-American family composed by a young girl, her parents, her grandmother and her uncle, was a working class family that owned a store. The other family was composed only by a young girl and her mother, a movie star.
The show starred:
- Alia Shawkat: (12 year old Jewish-American girl Hannah Rayburn)
- Mae Whitman: (12 year old Grace McKee. Grace and Hannah are best friends)
- Dinah Manoff: (Evelyn Rayburn, Hannah's mother)
- Michael Mantell: (David Rayburn, Hannah's father)
- Faye Granny: (Tattie McKee, Grace's mother)
- Jason Blicker: (Uncle Heschie, Hannah's uncle)
- Erica Yohn: (Grandma Ida, Hannah's grandmother)
Set in 1965, the show was compared by some to another look-back-thru-the-years show, The Wonder Years.
