Stanislaw Szczepanowski

The name of Stanisław Szczepanowski was used by at least two notable personalities in Polish history:
- Stanisław of Szczepanów (1030-1079), a bishop of Kraków known mostly for having been slain by King Boleslaus the Bold. He is venerated in the Roman Catholic Church as Saint Stanislaus.
- Stanisław Szczepanowski (1846-1900), a Polish oil industry pioneer, lawyer and economist, neo-romantic writer and author of many economical works on the situation in Galicia. Also a member of Austro-Hungarian parliament and Galician Sejm.
