Stage box
|
A stage box is a shoebox-sized enclosure that typically has 16 to 24 female XLR connectors (or "canons") mounted on it as the termination of a multicore cable that runs to the sound desk or audio mixer. All of the microphones and musical instruments connect to the stage box. There are often a small number of (4-8) male connectors on the stage box which are called Returns. These sendi audio signals back to the stage for monitoring.
