St. Clare's

St. Clare's is a series of six books written by British children's author Enid Blyton about a boarding school of that name. The series follows the heroines Patricia ("Pat") and Isabel O'Sullivan from their first year at St. Clare's on. Other characters include Allison O'Sullivan (the twins' cousin), Hilary Wentworth, Carlotta, and Bobby Ellis.
In the first book, The Twins at St. Clare's, the twins Pat and Isabel refuse to go to St. Clare's as they thought it would be terrible. Their parents decide they will go to St. Clare's anyway, saying they were spoiled at Redroofs (the twins' previous school). The twins decide to disobey the teachers and give them a hard time. The twins meet Janet, who loves tricks; Hilary, who is head of the form, and many more people.
The six books are:
- The Twins at St. Clare's (1941)
- The O'Sullivan Twins (1942)
- Summer Term at St. Clare's (1943)
- Second Form at St. Clare's (1944)
- Claudine at St.Clare's (1944)
- Fifth Formers at St. Clare's (1945)
There are also an additional two books written more recently by Pamela Cox, which are intended to fill gaps in the internal chronology of the series. These are:
- Third Form at St. Clare's (2000)
- Sixth Form at St. Clare's (2000)de:Hanni_und_Nanni
