Springfield M21
|
No gun officially known as the Springfield M21 exists. Although the M14 was developed at the U.S. Springfield Armory, those National Match M14s that were modified into M21 sniper rifles had the work done at the Rock Island Arsenal.
After the official Springfield Armory closed, the rights to the name were purchased by a private arms manufacturer that currently manufactures, among other weapons, the M1A Rifle, a civilian version of the M-14.
Armscorp USA, Inc. does market one of their civilian version M14s as a "Model M21".
