Warren County is a county located in the state of Georgia. As of 2000, the population is 6,336. The county's county seat is Warrenton, Georgia6.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 743 km² (287 mi²). 739 km² (286 mi²) of it is land and 3 km² (1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.43% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 6,336 people, 2,435 households, and 1,692 families residing in the county. The population density is 9/km² (22/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 39.46% White, 59.47% Black or African American, 0.17% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.30% from other races, and 0.46% from two or more races. 0.80% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
