Morwen is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth. She was a daughter of Baragund of the House of Bëor, and she married Húrin of the House of Marach. She was the mother of Túrin Turambar and Nienor Níniel.
Morwen is also a character in the Lord of the Rings moviews directed by Peter Jackson. She is the mother of Freda and Éothain, and she sends them to alert Theoden that the wild men are galavanting through Rohan burning villages. Her children are kept at Edoras until Theoden leads the people of Edoras to seek shelter at Helm's Deep, where the children are reunited with their mother.
