ARI
|
ARI, known as the Autofahrer-Rundfunk-Informationssystem was a system for traffic announcements used by the German ARD network of FM radio stations from 1972 on. It was used to broadcast station IDs, broadcasting area IDs and traffic announcements on a 57 kHz frequency, additionally to normal radio programmes.
ARI has been rendered obsolete by the more modern Radio Data System, hence the ARD will stop broadcasting ARI signals on March 1st, 2005.Template:Germany-stub Template:Broadcasting-stub
