Siyi
|
Siyi (四邑) is a group of districts south of Guangzhou, in southern China. The area gives rise to the Siyi Yue dialects, which is different from Cantonese. These dialects are spoken in the counties of Taishan, Kaiping, Enping, Xinhui and the city of Jiangmen. Until 1965, the Siyi dialects were the most spoken Chinese dialects in North America.
