Shellharbour

Shellharbour is a city and Local Government Area of about 60,000 people. It is located in the Illawarra region, on the east coast of Australia, about 100kms south of Sydney. It is bordered by Wollongong City to the north, and Kiama Municipality to the south. It is on the southern side of Lake Illawarra. The area was inhabited by indigenous Australians for thousands of years. European habitation began from about 1817 onwards.
It contains the suburbs of Shellharbour Village, Shell Cove, Warilla, Barrack Heights, Oak Flats, Flinders, Blackbutt and Albion Park and Albion Park Rail.
