Shawn Allen Berry
|
Shawn Allen Berry was the third man, along with John William King and Lawrence Russel Brewer convicted of the 1998 murder of James Byrd, Jr. in Jasper, Texas.
Berry was the least easy of the three defendants to convict of being guilty because there was a lack of evidence (unlike for King and Brewer) to suggest that he himself was a racist. He had also fingered both King and Brewer and implicated that it was them alone that were guilty of the crime.
