Sharif Ali bin al-Hussein

Sharif Ali Bin al-Hussein was born in 1956, in Baghdad, Iraq and is a Pretender to the Iraqi throne and the leader of the Iraqi Constitutional Monarchy.
Biography
He is cousin to the late King Faisal II, his father is Sharif AlHussein bin Ali, and his mother is Princess Badia, daughter of King Ali bin Hussein I and aunt of the late King Faisal II. His grandfather was uncle to King Faisal I and was Prince of Mecca until 1908.
His cousin was the last king of Iraq King Faisal II who was killed and deposed in a bloody coup d'etat. Following the regicide al-Hussein and his family fled to the United Kingdom. Al-Hussein remained an opponent of the rule of dictator Saddam Hussein (no relation) and returned to Iraq after his downfall.
