Geography
Sept-Rivières is located on Côte-Nord. It is bordered by the Caniapiscau Regional County Municipality and Labrador. It is mostly covered by the Laurentian mountains. It is a very urbanized (75% of the population) region. It allegedly takes is name from 7 rivers that join the Saint Lawrence within the territory: Moisie, Sainte-Marguerite, Trinité, Pentecôte, aux Rochers, Pigou and Manitou. Unfortunately, neither the Trinité river nor the Pigou river reaches the Saint Lawrence within the limit of the county regional municipality, and many other river could be amongst those "seven rivers"
