Score

Score can mean one of several things:
- A score is a group of twenty things; "four score" means eighty.
- Score also refers to the stark inescapable facts of a situation <knows the score>.
- In music:
- The sheet music for an ensemble is a score, if it includes all parts in a single time sequence, giving an overall picture of the composition; ant. parts
- A film score is a sound recording of the music in a film.
- In sports, the score refers to the number of points accumulated by each participant.
- In education, a score is a numerical value describing the result of a test given to a student.
- In statistics:
- The score is the derivative, with respect to some parameter θ, of the logarithm of the likelihood function.
- A raw score is an original datum that has not been transformed.
- A standard score is a dimensionless quantity derived from the raw score.
- Score is a men's magazine co-published in the US and UK.
- SCORE (Spain) is a free general sports magazine, published in Madrid and distributed along the Costa del Sol
- Project SCORE was the world's first communications satellite.
- Score in video games is a number showing how many points have been gotten.
- To score is also used to describe sexual activity.
- Scores is also a strip club in New York City.
- To score a piece of material for cutting (eg. glass) refers to making a fine incision so that when stressed the material breaks cleanly on the cut mark.
- An advanced aircraft rotary engine being developed by Lycoming before its bankruptcy, later sold to John Deere that would have run on anything from Avgas to biodiesel.
