SNFU are a Canadian skate punk band who started in 1984. The band originally hailed from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, but now reside in Vancouver. The backbone of the band are guitarists, twin brothers Marc and Brent Belke, and Mr. Chi Pig on vocals. The band have an unusual quirk of releasing albums with seven words in the title. Their first, very influential album was ...And No One Else Wanted To Play'. The initials SNFU stand for Society has No Fucking Use.
The band are renowned for their live act. Flipside fanzine voted them "Best Live Band" in 1987, beating the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Fugazi, both of whom have frenetic live acts.
