Other channels include a mix of the Discovery Channel and TAB Trackside, a local horse racing channel, and SKY 1, an entertainment service.
It launched its digital satellite television service in 1999, which now includes such channels as BBC World, UK.TV, Sky News, and local channels susch as the Rugby Channel, (rugby being the national sport) and the local music video channel Juice TV. Channels in Chinese, Japanese and Korean are also offered as separate subscription channels.
It should not be confused with British Sky Broadcasting in the UK, though one of BSkyB's shareholders, News Corporation, has a shareholding in INL, a 78% shareholder of SKY Network Television. A previous shareholder was the publicly owned Television New Zealand, whose terrestrial channels are available 'free-to-air' on the Sky digital platform.
