Ruse (Bulgarian: Русе; Turkish: Rusçuk) is the fifth largest city in Bulgaria. Situated in the north of the country, on the border with Romania, it is the largest Bulgarian port on the Danube and a major cultural centre.
A prominent local landmark is a 210-metre high television tower equipped with an observation deck open to visitors.
