Rural Utilities Service

The Rural Utilities Service (formerly the Rural Electrification Administration) is a federal agency of the United States, charged with providing utilities (electricity, telephone, water, sewer) to rural areas through public-private partnerships. It is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
