Rowville, Victoria

Rowville is a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. It is situated in the local municipality of the City of Knox.
It is named after a farmer named Row, and the homestead was established in the 1890s. It was part of the shire of Ferntree Gully.
Rowville has developed much over the 1980s and 1990s, especially in terms of housing prices, commercial zoning and culture.
Stud Road is a popular thoroughfare, and on there is the Stud Park shopping centre, which includes the Rowville Library (http://www.erl.vic.gov.au/using/rowv.htm) (part of Eastern Regional Libraries) and the Rowville Community Centre, which hosts the Stringybark Festival that is usually in October of the calendar year.
