Romanian Intelligence Service
|
The Serviciul Romān de Informaţii (SRI) is the Romanian intelligence service and it is thought that before 1989 (When it was the Securitate) it was one of the top three in the world although many people weren't aware of the fact.
In collaboration with other branches of the country's security services they function superbly, although after 1989 their funds were scaled down and the secret service lost its spot in the top three due to a lack of technology that they cannot currently afford. In the last Gulf War they represented an important protective role when the United States Army landed in Romania.
