Roger Wicker

Roger F. Wicker (born July 5 1951), is an American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 1995, representing the First Congressional District of Mississippi (map (http://nationalatlas.gov/printable/images/preview/congdist/ms01_109.gif)). Born in Pontotoc, Mississippi, he attended the University of Mississippi, graduating with a degree in Law. He also served in the U.S. Air Force and Reserve, with the rank of lieutenant-colonel. He sat in the Mississippi State Senate from 1988 to 1994, when he was elected to the House. He is currently a member of the House Appropriations Committee and House Budget Committee. He is also Deputy Majority Whip.
Congressman Wicker and his wife Gail have three children and currently reside in Tupelo.
