Rick Parfitt

Rick Parfitt (born 12 October 1948) is a British pop singer who sings and plays rhythm guitar in the band Status Quo.
de:Rick ParfittRick first met Francis Rossi in 1965 in Butlins Minehead. Francis was playing with the Spectres (forerunner of Status Quo) at the time and Rick was sufficiently impressed to approach him with a view to working together. Nothing came of the meeting until 1967 when Rick joined Francis, Alan Lancaster and John Coughlin to form the classic Quo lineup.
Rick has been a continuous member of the group (while others have come and gone) and has penned many of their biggest hits - notably "Whatever You Want". He wrote a solo album while Status Quo had temporarily broken up but it was never released.
