Richard Neal

Richard Edmund Neal (born February 14 1949), American politician, has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 1989, representing the 2nd District of Massachusetts (map (http://nationalatlas.gov/printable/images/preview/congdist/ma02_109.gif)).
He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, and was educated at the city's Tech High School, American International College in Springfield and the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut. Later he taught at Springfield's Cathedral High School, worked in business, and served in the Springfield City Council and as the city's mayor before being elected to Congress. He succeeded the late Edward Boland.
