Reynolds (Reyn) Guyer invented some major toy icons in the late twentieth century. In 1965, he was in business with his father working on sales promotions, leading to the invention of Twister (originally called 'Pretzel') in 1966. He also invented the Nerf ball in 1968, introduced to the public in 1969 by Parker Brothers
