Revolutionary Cells
|
Revolutionary Cells is an animal rights group based in the United States.
On August 27, 2003 two bombs were placed on the campus of Chiron (corporation) in Emeryville, California. The bombs exploded at 2:55 and 4:00 AM Pacific time. [1] (http://www.bayarea.com/mld/mercurynews/news/local/6639289.htm) A group calling itself Revolutionary Cells of the Animal Liberation Brigade e-mailed a statement to reporters taking credit for the bombing. Chiron is apparently a target of violence and protests because it reportedly contracted with Huntingdon Life Sciences, a New Jersey-based animal testing contractor.
