Reşiţa (Hungarian Resicabánya, German Reschitz) is a city in western Romania and capital of Caraş-Severin County, in the foothills of the Transylvanian Alps. An important iron and steel center, Reşiţa is the site of blast furnaces, iron foundries, and plants producing electrical appliances, chemicals, machinery, and metals.
