Redwood is a name used for several species of trees with red or reddish coloured wood; see each species for individual details. It is also used as a place name on its own or in combination, sometimes for places associated with redwood trees but not always.

- Family Pinaceae (conifers)
- The wood of Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) is sometimes called 'redwood' in the timber trade.

- Caesalpinia sappan - East Indian Redwood, or Sapanwood tree (first called "brezel wood" in Europe)
- Caesalpinia echinata - South American Redwood, or Brazilwood tree
