|
Ravina was a rabbi of the Talmud who, in 475 CE, together with his teacher Rav Ashi, collected and commented upon the Gemara of what would henceforth be known as the Babylonian Talmud. He ruled for 22 years. His father died when he was little, so his mother taught him. He is famous for redacting and finishing the Talmud.
