Rata may refer to the following:
- Rata is one of several species of tree native to New Zealand belonging to genus Metrosideros, the best-known species being Metrosideros robustus (Northern rata) and M. umbellata (Southern rata).
- Rata Honey is produced predominantly from the Southern Rata (Metrosideros umbellata) on the West coast of New Zealand's South Island.
- In Polynesian mythology, Rata is a son of Tahiti Tokerau and the murderer of Puna (who had kidnapped Tahiti Tokerau).
- Rata River is a river in Belarus and Ukraine, tributary of Western Bug.
- Rata Island - island in Brazil.
