Rainbow Bass
|
The Rainbow Bass is a 6-string fretless bass guitar owned by Les Claypool of Primus. It was made by luthier Carl Thompson and is probably his most famous creation. It is made of strips of walnut, curly maple, padauk, purple heart, ebony, and cocobolo glued in a vertical stripe pattern. It is possibly one of the most rare and expensive basses ever made.
A rainbow bass is a freshwater fish, member of the ciclidae family, found in Central America.
