Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carrier

The first Royal Navy aircraft carriers to be named the Queen Elizabeth class were the proposed CVA-01 design from the 1960s, which would have been a two ship class, to have been called HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Duke of Edinburgh.
It has been suggested that the two new CVF carriers, to enter service in the next decade will also be known as the Queen Elizabeth class. It is rumoured the ships will be called HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales.
