Psammosere

In geography, a psammosere is a sand sere - an environment of sand substratum on which succession occurs. most common psammoseres are sand dune systems.
a Psammosere is a beach where plant succesion occurs. This is when different vegetative species evolve along a beach. Close to the sea, you find primitive amphibian species such as algae and glasswort. in the lower marshes you find meadow grass, or sea purslane. Further up the beach, you can lavender, reeds even woodland trees.
