Portesham

Portesham is a village in the English county of Dorset, situated close to the south coast, between the towns of Weymouth and Dorchester. The village has a population of 708 (2001). The village of Abbotsbury is nearby, as is Hardy's Monument, erected in honour of Captain Thomas Hardy, one of Lord Nelson's commanders at the Battle of Trafalgar. Portesham is also in walking distance of the Jurassic Coast.
