Pilsner Urquell (German for "pilsener ancient (or original) source"; in Czech: "Plzeňský prazdroj") is a beer produced since 1842 in Plzeň, Bohemia (now the Czech Republic). It claims to be the world's first pilsener, or golden beer.
It's a flagship beer of SABMiller, and is more heavily hopped than most US pilsners.
