Petite Riviere, Nova Scotia

Petite Reviere is a small village on the South Shore in Nova Scotia in Canada. It is located about 20 minutes outside of Bridgewater. It is close to Rissers and Green Bay beaches.
The bridge in Petite Riviere was destroyed in 2002 and has been replaced by a single lane "temporary" bridge.
It has a school, Petite Riviere Elementary School with about 90 pupils. The current principal is Allan Turner.
Samuel de Champlain is said to have given the community its name after landing at its site.
